Win your choice of beautifully reinvented chairs decorated by Milwaukee area artists by entering the CHAIRity Raffle. At least a dozen chairs obtained from donated goods at the Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity ReStore, will be raffled off at the show. Tickets cost just $5 each or 5 for $20. All proceeds will support the building of affordable housing in Milwaukee.

Three rooms will grace the entrance of the show depicting how you can use fine furnishings and fine craft in your own home! Take a look and get inspired. Members of the Milwaukee Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) will personally choose an array of items created by the show exhibitors to create inspirational room settings.

Spotlight on More “Green” Exhibitors
Against an inspiring backdrop of Vermont's natural beauty, ClearLake Furniture handcrafts fine hardwood heirlooms, one piece at a time. Using FSC-certified woods, they are currently working on several LEED projects that dictate the highest standards in sustainable building. The Vermont Forestry Service has commissioned Clear Lake to build "green" furniture for their offices.

Deborah Goldhaft of Fire & Ice Studio in Pawtucket, Rhode Island is introducing a line of eco-friendly giftware that reuses empty wine bottles from bars in Providence. Rather than have them thrown into the trash, Deborah is creating “Messages ON a Bottle” by etching a variety of designs with personal messages and sayings.

“Being Green” is the theme of a series of new paintings created with recycled materials by Kristy Goggio of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Through these paintings Kristy delivers a clear yet important message expressed through two of our primal instincts; art and humor.

Furniture maker Jeffrey Lind of South Berwick, Maine was green before the term was coined, but this year he converted is off-grid workshop to solar photovoltaic power that is renewable and clean. Add to that the use of certified plantation grown lumber and his work is approaching 100% renewable. As a registered tree farm, he is also helping to offset greenhouse gas emissions.

All the lumber used by Corwin Butterworth of Wakefield, Rhode Island is sustainably harvested. Much of it comes from blown down trees that he has milled and seasons himself. He takes the origins of the lumber he uses very seriously because his business would not exist if the hardwood forests became endangered.
